Shelley Cape Gooseberry Plate

Rare 1930s Art Deco Shelley tea set. Oxford shape cake/sandwich plate marked with the green Shelley England factory stamp to base and red lettering C for the shape. Beautifully hand painted with orange Physalis ( cape gooseberry ), painter signature B and pattern number 12299, with the handles and rims painted a burnt orange colour. Large Square Plate – 25 cm handle to handle Excellent condition, no staining or crazing, looks unused.
