Josiah Spode 1770 – Copeland & Garrett 1833 – W. T. Copeland 1847 – Spode 1970 – Camilla was one of the first designs introduced in 1833 after the Spode business had been transferred to Copeland and Garrett. It is one of the most attractive designs from that era, firstly transfer printed in blue underglaze and later offered in red, green and brown. The central spray is thought to be of the Tea plant Camellia Sinensis, hence the pattern name. This fabulous breakfast set for two people was made in the first half of the twentieth century, each piece is marked on the back ‘ Spode’s Camilla Copeland England ‘. Set consists of …..
