Large Cockatrice Platter c1873

This range of tea wares, Cockatrice pattern # 4863, were first made in the late 1800s. The china is decorated by hand with enamel paints depicting an exotic bird & floral decoration in greens, pinks, reds, blues & browns on a white background. A Large Meat Plate – 40 cm across. Minton’s hallmark on the underside, date mark 1873 – 1912. Excellent condition, fabulous colours, no damage or repair, age is over 100 years
