Bell China Art Deco Trio

$ 30.08

Bell China is the trade mark of a Staffordshire pottery called Shore & Coggins of Longton, trading between 1911 to 1966. There is a rarity and novelty value to Shore & Coggins wares. They didn’t produce for that long but represent the ‘glory days’ in Staffordshire potting where the market was so strong smaller family run firms could carve out a niche for themselves. This bone china tea set was made during the 1930s and has the angular shapes typical of the art deco period. Each piece has been hand painted with a countryside scene of trees and a hillside cottage using bright enamels of yellow, orange and green. Tea Trio ….
